Trip Q&A

How to attend a fan meeting in Korea: tickets, ID and what to bring

Last checked: 15 October 2026

Fan-meeting tickets in Korea usually go on sale first as a fan-club presale: you join a paid Weverse (or Berriz) membership, verify it on the ticket site during a set window, and then buy in the presale. Some shows add a general sale afterwards. Foreign buyers are often asked to complete passport verification on the ticket site and to keep the same name on the membership, the purchase and the attendee, and on the day you show your original passport. Check the show notice for filming rules.

Steps to get a ticket

  • Join the paid fan-club membership (Weverse or Berriz). Berriz fan-club verification was reported to link with Melon Ticket from September 2026
  • Verify your membership on the ticket site during the verification window
  • As a foreigner, complete passport verification on the ticket site (Passport verification)
  • Buy in the presale; some shows add a general sale afterwards

Where a show has both a Korean page and a global page, membership verification only counts on the page where you did it. If you plan to buy on the global page, verify there.

The ID check on the day

For SEVENTEEN's 9th fan meeting (March 2025, Incheon Munhak), the notice accepted only a physical passport or residence card as ID for foreigners. The membership name had to match the ID, nicknames were not allowed, and those who signed up with an English name needed their passport. Screenshots, printouts, expired IDs and student IDs were refused, and anyone caught lending a membership or ID faced a ban.

At DAY6's "PIER 10" (July 2025, Jamsil Indoor Stadium), outsourced entry staff reportedly demanded excessive documents, and JYP apologised and issued refunds. The ID accepted for foreigners was an Alien Registration Card or an unexpired passport. Know which IDs your show's official notice lists. Pickup and entry checks are covered in ID checks at Korean concerts.

What to bring to a fan meeting

  • Original passport, not expired
  • Membership and booking details, with the name spelled as on your passport
  • Lightstick and spare batteries. The notice for TWS's fan meeting at ticketLINK LIVE ARENA (March 2026) said it takes three AAA alkaline batteries and wireless control may be interrupted if they run low
  • KRW cash and a card. TWS's fan-meeting merch booth took cash and most cards, but said some cards may be declined

For the whole trip, see the packing checklist.

Can you film?

We found no 2025–2026 Korean fan-meeting notice that clearly states a photo rule, so check your show's notice. LE SSERAFIM's etiquette notice (August 2026) banned secret filming and using another person's ID, with removal from the venue as the penalty.

FAQ

Can I go without a membership?

The presale is members-only, but some shows hold a general sale afterwards (NCT JNJM's fan meeting opened general sale on 15 April 2026). Whether there is a general sale and whether seats remain depends on the show.

If I verify on the Korean page, can I buy on the global page?

Verification only counts on the page where you did it. To buy on the global page, verify there.

Can I borrow a friend's membership?

No. SEVENTEEN's notice said lending a membership or ID leads to a ban, and many shows require the membership name to match the buyer and attendee.

How is a fan meeting different from a concert?

Content, venue size and ticket conditions are compared in Fan meeting vs concert.
