Trip Q&A
PAYCO sign-up for Ticketlink Global
Ticketlink Global (ticketlink.co.kr/global), run by NHN LINK, signs you in with a PAYCO ID. PAYCO is NHN's account service, so the login screen you see when you book there is a PAYCO screen. This page covers only that account: how to make it from abroad and what tends to go wrong, based on Ticketlink's English guide, FAQ and notices. Booking, fees and pickup are in our Ticketlink Global guide.
Creating the account
You can't book on the global site without an account. Ticketlink's English sign-up guide describes these steps:
- Open ticketlink.co.kr/global and go to the Sign In page.
- At the bottom of the Sign In page, choose Create account.
- Register with an email address and a password.
- Agree to let PAYCO access your personal information. The account is created by PAYCO and then used on Ticketlink.
Ticketlink's guide names only the email address and the password. We could not check the PAYCO form itself, so if it asks for anything more, follow the screen. Use an email address you will keep: Ticketlink sends account notices, such as the dormancy warning, to it.
Global and Korean accounts are separate
Ticketlink's FAQ says foreigners can join the Korean service only through the same identity verification Korean users go through, which is a Korean mobile phone check. The global service needs no extra identity verification. One ID can't be used on both, so an account made on the Korean site won't let you buy on the global site.
The split carries over to fan-club presales. If you verify your Weverse membership on the global page, you can buy presale tickets only on the global page, and the global and Korean presales can open on different days. One Weverse account links to one Ticketlink ID.
When sign-up or login stops
- "Restricted IP": PAYCO can block an IP address during sign-up, login or account recovery to stop account theft. Ticketlink's FAQ says to solve the captcha that appears and carry on.
- An account with no login for one year becomes dormant. Ticketlink emails a warning 30 days before.
- Withdrawing can't be undone, and you can't sign up again with the same details for 3 days. You can't withdraw while you have upcoming bookings or refunds in progress.
- Questions about the global site go through the 1:1 Inquiry form after you log in. Several 2026 show notices say the global page doesn't take phone inquiries.
What the account is asked for later
Some shows carry a "Verified Members Only" badge, and since June 2026 only passport-verified accounts can buy them. You click Verify Identity, scan your own valid passport with your phone and take a selfie. One passport verifies one account. South Korean passports can't be used for this check; Ticketlink's notice says overseas Koreans who can't do Korean mobile verification can apply separately through a Global 1:1 Inquiry (type ETC) with a Certificate of Overseas Korean Registration (a foreign residence or registration card may be accepted instead) and a Korean passport, and their documents are reviewed. These shows charge a ticket service fee of ₩8,000, which can differ by show, so check the show's notice. Ticketlink's notices ask you to finish before the fan-club verification window opens. Details: passport verification.
At checkout Ticketlink asks for your mobile number and email, plus a delivery address and date of birth when needed, and its English terms list your name as shown on your passport among the purchase details. Payment is covered in when a foreign card is declined.
FAQ
Do I need the PAYCO payment app to buy on Ticketlink Global?
Ticketlink's guide asks only for a PAYCO ID made with an email address and a password, created from the global Sign In page. It doesn't mention installing an app to sign up.
Can I use my Korean Ticketlink account?
No. Ticketlink says one ID can't be used on both the Korean and the global service, so make a separate global account.
Do I need a Korean phone number?
Not to sign up for the global site: Ticketlink says global sign-up needs no extra identity verification. The Korean site is the one that needs Korean mobile verification. Checkout asks for a mobile number.
It says "Restricted IP". What now?
Solve the captcha shown on the screen. Ticketlink's FAQ says PAYCO uses this block against account theft during sign-up, login and account recovery.
