KBS Arena is the former No. 1 gymnasium of KBS Sports World in Hwagok-dong, Gangseo-gu, run by KBS Business, a KBS subsidiary. The complex was known as the KBS 88 Gymnasium until it was renamed KBS Sports World in 2012, and the remodelled gym opened as KBS Arena in November 2015. The official page lists 2,222 seats and describes the hall as about 3,000 capacity.

Seats & views

Stage layout differs for every show, so check the seat map on the ticket page before you choose. How to read Korean seat labels

KBS Arena

13 tips
  • It is a small arena (about 2,200 fixed seats), and fans say most seats see well. Even upper side and rear seats felt closer than expected. Several sources[4][5][6]
  • Inner side sections A and G sit about one level above the stage and close to it, with a clear view over the floor. You have to turn your head or body sideways because they do not face the stage. Several sources[7][8][9]
How sections are numbered

Capacity by stage setup (approx.)

Official fixed seats (sections A–I, floor not included)2,222 [1]
Official headline figure (basis not stated)about 3,000 [2]
Standing configuration (Korea Tourism Organization listing)about 3,500 [3]

The same venue holds very different numbers depending on how the stage is built. These are official figures and reported examples, not the seat count for your show.

How sections are numbered

On the official seating chart the stage is at one short end. A and G are the lower stands along the two long sides, about one level above the stage. B and I are upper stands at the stage end, C and H are upper stands toward the back, D and F are curved stands at the back corners, and E is the highest stand, facing the stage. J is the floor. Ticket maps and seat-review sites usually call A, D, E, F and G the '2nd floor' and B, C, H and I the '3rd floor', but the labels can differ by show.

Good spots 2 tips
  • The '3rd floor' (B, C, H, I) gives a full view of the stage and staging from above, but performers look small, so you will rely on the screens. B and I at the stage end are next to the speakers and also face sideways. Some shows do not open the 3rd floor at all. Several sources[7][8][10]
  • Several fans at one 2024 show said the lower side seats next to the stage saw better than the middle of the floor. One report[5]
Cautions 6 tips
  • The floor (J) is completely flat. Front rows are the closest, but from mid and rear rows your view depends on the heads and raised slogans in front, so shorter fans may do better in A/G or the stands. Several sources[7][8]
  • Reviews of 2nd-floor section A say the rake gives a good view but the space to the seat in front is very tight. One report[9]
  • In section G, a jib (crane) camera may block part of the view at filmed events. One report[9]
  • D, E and F at the back face the stage head-on, but they are the farthest from it; E is the highest stand. One report[7]
  • Seats where equipment partly blocks the stage are sold as restricted-view seats on the booking page. One guide says these are usually the innermost ends of the 2nd floor and the rear rows of the A/G sides. One report[8]
  • The Korea Tourism Organization listing says there is no accessible toilet or elevator and that the main entrance has a step. Wheelchair users should contact the venue or organiser before booking. One report[3]
Entrances & access 1 tips
  • Subway: Balsan Station (Line 5) Exit 5 is about 14 minutes on foot, and Gayang Station (Line 9) Exit 8 about 15 minutes. The closest bus stop, 'KBS Sports World', is about 3 minutes away; it is served by routes 60, 601, 605, 654, 661, express 8000, airport buses 6000/6003/6008 and night bus N26. Several sources[3][8][11]
Facilities 2 tips
  • Fans say the toilets get very crowded, so go before the show starts. One report[5]
  • The official site lists a cafe (Gallery Cafe Mookmonk) and two restaurants (Mango Food, Hansik 88) at the venue. One report[12]

On the weekday timetable, the last trains from Gayang leave between Next day 00:20 and Next day 00:59, depending on the direction and how far you are going. On the Saturday timetable, the last trains from Gayang leave between 23:17 and 23:56, depending on the direction and how far you are going. Good to know

  • KBS Arena is in Gangseo-gu, not at KBS's broadcasting centre in Yeouido. KBS Hall in Yeouido is a different venue.
  • The arena shares the KBS Sports World complex with a swimming pool, bowling alley and other sports facilities, which is why the address and bus stop use the name KBS Sports World (KBS스포츠월드).
  • The venue's site does not publish rules on food, bags or re-entry, so check your show's notice on the ticket page.
  • The venue's amenities page lists a café (Gallery Café Mookmonk) and a Korean restaurant (Hansik 88), but gives no opening hours.

Tickets for the shows we have listed here were sold by Ticketlink Global, Naver Booking and NOL World.
