KINTEX

Gyeonggi · 9 shows

Last checked: 15 October 2026

KINTEX in Goyang, just northwest of Seoul, is a huge exhibition centre whose halls host festivals and big K-pop events. It has two buildings: Exhibition Center 1 with Halls 1 to 5, and Exhibition Center 2 with Halls 6 to 10, linked by a 100 m-wide walkway with moving walkways. The hall number on your ticket tells you which building, and which bus stop, to aim for.

Seats & views

Stage layout differs for every show, so check the seat map on the ticket page before you choose. How to read Korean seat labels

7 tips
  • When the promoter builds stepped reserved seating, a front-center reserved seat can be more comfortable than the back of standing, though the stage looks far away. This is configuration-dependent. Several sources[1][3]

Halls 4 and 5 joined: big standing area plus stepped reserved seating (Post Malone, September 2023)30,000 [1]
One hall (Hall 5) set up for a concertabout 10,000 (a fan's figure) [2]

The same venue holds very different numbers depending on how the stage is built. These are official figures and reported examples, not the seat count for your show.

How sections are numbered

There are no fixed sections. Each show draws its own map: standing zones (such as A, B and C, with entry numbers like A2200) and seated blocks with letters or numbers. Reserved blocks may sit on temporary stepped stands.

Cautions 3 tips
  • This is a flat exhibition floor with no built-in rake. Unless the show adds risers, people in the back blocks mostly see heads; check the seat map for stepped seating. Several sources[1][2][4][5]
  • In the middle and back of standing, many fans end up watching the side screens; shorter fans report seeing very little. Several sources[6][7]
  • Sound comes from the touring rig in an exhibition hall: reviews range from decent (with reverb treatment) to so-so even near the console. Several sources[1][6]
Entrances & access 3 tips
  • Big standing shows mean long entry queues that fans called poorly organized; arrive early and know your entry number. Several sources[1][7]
  • GTX-A Kintex Station (opened Dec 2024) is about 16-17 minutes from Seoul Station. Several sources[8][9]
  • Driving out of the car parks after a show can take about an hour. One report[7]

    How sections are numbered

    Capacity by stage setup (approx.)

    Hall 10, chairs on a flat floor (Ado, February 2024)about 5,000 (4,500 at first, 500 added) [1]
Halls 7A and 7B joined, chairs on a flat floor (SHINee fan meeting, May 2023)about 10,000 (a fan's estimate) [2]

    How sections are numbered

There are no fixed sections. Promoters' maps use lettered zones (such as A, B, D and Y) with numbered rows; standing zones go by entry number.

    Cautions 5 tips
    • Hall 7 has a large pillar in the middle of the floor that blocked some seats at a 2023 fan meeting; the organizer added screens behind it. Check where the pillar sits on your show's map. Several sources[2][3]
    • Seated shows here are usually chairs on a flat floor, so rear rows look over many heads. Even accessible seats sat at floor level at one 2024 concert. Several sources[1][2][4]
    • Seats right behind the sound console and lighting towers can be obstructed; avoid the rows directly behind them on the map. Several sources[1][2][4]
    • Sound may not carry well to the back: Dec 2025 reviews mention quiet or cutting-out audio in rear blocks. Several sources[5][6]
    • Obstructed seats may not be marked and may be priced the same as front rows, with no refunds for the view. Read the notice before buying. One report[2]

    • GTX-A Kintex Station (opened Dec 2024) is about 16-17 minutes from Seoul Station; Centers 1 and 2 are linked by a covered walkway with moving walks. Several sources[7][8][9]

Plan B: taxi. This venue is far from central Seoul, so a taxi back is a long ride — set the destination in a taxi app (Kakao T, Uber) before the encore. A late-night surcharge applies.

We have no subway timetable for this venue, so we can't give a last-train time. Plan the trip back before the show.

Our timetable data for KINTEX covers Line 3 at Daehwa and Juyeop, not GTX-A. Late at night, the last Line 3 trains from Daehwa stop short of southern Seoul, so check how far each one goes in the box above before you leave the hall.

    Of the 9 shows we have tracked here, the start times were 12:00, 17:00, 18:00 and 19:30. Listed running times: 2 h, 10 h, 1 h 30 min.

KINTEX is outside Seoul, and our lodging data near it is thin: two places in Ilsan, about 2.6–2.9 km away. If you would rather stay in Seoul, a hotel near Seoul Station (GTX-A) or along Line 3 keeps the trip back to a single ride.
