Trip Q&A
Melon Ticket Global questions: from login to cancelling
Answers to the problems that come up most on Melon Ticket Global (tkglobal.melon.com), based on its official FAQ, sign-up page and purchase guide, the notices on its show pages, and the text of its global mobile site. The basic flow from sign-up to payment is in How to buy tickets on Melon Ticket Global. This reflects the site as of October 2026; where a show page sets different rules, those come first.
Problems signing up
The sign-up form asks only for your first name, last name, email address and a password of 8–20 letters, numbers and symbols. There is no phone number field. Type your name exactly as it is written in your passport: the form says the name can't be changed after sign-up, and that a name that differs from your passport can cause problems when you collect your tickets.
- Only six email domains are accepted: gmail.com, qq.com, yahoo.co.jp, icloud.com, outlook.com and hotmail.com. Any other address will be refused.
- A 6-digit code is sent to your email. It stops working three minutes after it was sent, so enter it straight away. There is also a limit on how many codes you can request and how many times you can try.
- A deleted account can't be re-created; the site says this is to stop illicit access.
- The footer says the service is for foreigners living outside Korea, and asks users in Korea to use the Korean service.
You can't log in
After too many failed logins, the site resets your password and sends a new one to your registered email address. If you see "Too many failed login attempts" or "Your password has been reset…", check your inbox, including the spam folder.
If you forgot your password, enter your email address and name and a new password is emailed to you. If the name doesn't match the one you registered, you get "The E-mail and name you entered did not matched". Use your name as it appears in your passport.
If you can't remember which email you used for a passport-verified account, use "Forgot verified account?" and search by name, gender and passport issue date. Too many searches block the tool for a while.
The sign-up page only offers registration with an email address; there are no buttons to log in with another service's account.
Passport verification
Verification is optional, but some shows require it. On those, the site shows "Verified members only" and offers to start verification. Once you are verified, it can take up to five minutes for your account to update.
The show page notices also say the name you enter when buying must exactly match the name in your passport.
- After five failed attempts you have to wait an hour, and in some cases 24 hours. If you keep getting "Failed to verify passport.", check what you entered and try again later.
- If you delete a verified account, the same verification details can't be used on another account for 30 days.
- To change your name or other details, send a 1:1 inquiry (Help > 1:1 Inquiry). You may be asked for documents.
- The privacy policy lists nationality, facial images, passport number, passport images and the passport's issue and expiry dates among the data collected, and names ARGOS Identity as the company that handles identity verification.
Payment
The purchase guide (August 2024 version) says credit cards, Alipay+ and PayPal are accepted. An older line in the FAQ still says credit cards only, so check the payment section of your show page if in doubt.
The show page notices say cards must be issued outside Korea; Korean cards don't work. Register your card for your bank's secure authentication (3D Secure) before you book. The card brands are listed in the buying guide. The charge shows as "LOEN" on your card statement. If your card is declined, see When your card is declined.
Getting your tickets: Will Call and mobile tickets
The purchase guide says overseas customers can choose Will Call (collection at the venue box office) or a mobile ticket. Which ones are offered depends on the show, so check the booking screen.
- Will Call: hand over a booking confirmation showing the reservation number and the recipient's ID. Copies and photos of the ID aren't accepted. Overseas buyers bring their passport.
- Tickets can't be collected before the day of the show (FAQ). Lines can be long, so leave plenty of time.
- Someone else may be able to collect for you, but the rules differ by show. For EXO PLANET #6, nobody other than the buyer could collect.
- Once collected, tickets are not reissued if they are lost or stolen.
- Mobile tickets are under [My] on the global mobile site. If you choose a mobile ticket, no paper ticket is issued.
For the ID check on the day, see What ID to bring to a Korean concert.
Cancellation deadlines and fees
The FAQ says there is no cancellation fee if you cancel by 11:59 pm Korea time on the day you booked, though the booking fee is not refunded after the day of purchase. Cancellations close at 5 pm the day before the show (11 am on Saturdays), and you can't cancel on the day of the show. Both can differ by show.
| When you cancel | Fee |
|---|---|
| Within 7 days of booking | None |
| Day 8 until 10 days before the show | ₩4,000 per ticket or 10% of the price, whichever is higher |
| From 7 days before | 10% of the price |
| From 3 days before | 20% of the price |
| The day before | 30% of the price |
From the NCT 127 2026 show page. Where a show allows same-day cancellation, the fee is 90%. Every show has its own table, so check the show page before you book.
Refunds go back by cancelling the card charge and can take about 7–15 business days, depending on your card company. Because of bank maintenance, cancelling may not be possible after 11:30 pm Korea time.
Cancelling only some of your tickets is usually possible, but not for ticket types marked "Partial Cancellation Unavailable". On at least one show run under the organizer's own rules, once fees applied, tickets could only be cancelled through a 1:1 inquiry.
Common error messages and how to contact support
- "Please allow popups and try again.": allow pop-ups for the site in your browser and try again.
- "Notice! If you refresh this page, the waiting order will start again.": this is the queue page. Refreshing sends you back to the start.
- When you pick seats, you are asked to type a security code (the characters shown) to stop automated booking.
- "Available number of tickets has been exceeded." or "You have exceeded the purchase limit for the selected option.": you have gone over the ticket limit for the show or ticket type.
- "Your seat reservation time has exceeded the limit.": the time to hold your seats ran out. Pick them again.
- "Failed to secure the seat.": the seat couldn't be held for you. Pick another one.
To contact support, log in and go to Help > Inquiry > 1:1 Inquiry. You can only send one inquiry a minute. For a cancellation, include the show name, date, reservation number and the reason.
FAQ
Why won't the site accept my email address?
Only addresses at gmail.com, qq.com, yahoo.co.jp, icloud.com, outlook.com and hotmail.com can sign up. Any other address is refused, so use one from that list.
I'm locked out. What now?
After too many failed logins, your password is reset and a new one is emailed to you. If you can't find that email, use the password reset with your email address and name to get a new one sent.
I typed my name wrong when I signed up.
You can't change the name yourself after sign-up. Ask through a 1:1 inquiry; you may be asked for documents. The pickup name has to match your passport, so do this early.
Can I collect my tickets the day before?
No. The FAQ says tickets can't be collected before the day of the show. For a mobile ticket, check [My] on the global mobile site.
Until when can I cancel for free?
Until 11:59 pm Korea time on the day you booked. That is also the only case where the booking fee comes back. After that, the fee table on the show page applies.
